Join a small group hike with men who get it. We’ll move our bodies, clear our heads, and talk about what’s real. No judgment. No pressure. Just space to breathe — and find your footing again.

I’m Patrick Muli, the founder of Men on the Path and The FIRE Method. After navigating my own post-divorce chapter, I realized how easy it is for men to lose their health, direction, and sense of self when life gets heavy.
I didn’t need another extreme program or a “toughen up” lecture — I needed movement, brotherhood, and a space to breathe again.
I created Men on the Path to offer that same space to other men — a space to connect with nature, reconnect with your inner strength, rebuild your health sustainably, and remember who you are along side of men who get it.

When we move, we release tension, stress, and the weight we’ve been carrying. These hikes are designed to help you improve your physical and mental state.
As your heart rate rises, your breath deepens, and blood circulates, you reconnect to your inner strength and remember what your body is capable of.
This isn’t about competition or proving anything.
It’s about becoming capable and confident — from the inside out.

We start by slowing everything down. Breathwork and simple grounding practices help calm your nervous system and settle the mind.
When you can finally breathe deeply again, the pressure loosens, and clarity becomes possible. This is where you begin reconnecting to your center — the part of you that knows how to move forward.

You don’t have to shoulder this alone anymore. On the trail, we share. Not in a forced way — just real conversation between men who get it.
This is where we let go of the daily weight — the stress, the overthinking, and the pressure to have it all figured out. It’s a reset for your mind, body, and spirit.
Through guided conversation and coaching, you’ll leave lighter — with more clarity and direction.

Typically 60-90 minutes to give enough space for moving as well as sharing and contemplation
There's no such thing as back weather, just bad clothing. This is a metaphor for life. If we only showed up when the sun was shining, we'd never grow. We have to be able to push through the storms of life. That said, the only time a hike would be canceled would be in the case of lightning, multiple inches of snow, or severe icy conditions. This will be determined with a 24 notice and based on local forecast.
Not at this time. These are local hikes currently limited to the greater Columbus area. You will be expected to find your own means of transportation.
I know this can happen especially in Columbus, however to be fair and honor everyone's time and schedules, we will only allow a 5 min grace period so we don't make anyone late to other commitments. If you feel that there is a chance of hitting traffic, please plan accordingly and leave a little early.
I understand everyone has different ability levels. I will say that this is not crossfit and not designed to be a strenuous workout a much as it is an opportunity to get your body moving in nature, releases stress and tension, and grow reconnect to your higher self.
Of course I understand that things come up beyond our control. To accommodate these situations, you are able to cancel for a full refund with a 24 notice so this allows for someone else to join the hike. A 12 hour notice will be required to reschedule. Only two consecutive reschedules will be permitted. Beyond that you will be required to purchase an additional hiking slot.
